If you are looking for a bright and striking wedding sampler to stitch for newly married friends, then take a look at the latest issue, 228, of Cross stitch Crazy for my latest design. This is a cheerful bouquet of colourful flowers, perfect for a personal touch. The design I am showing here is my original one which is different from the stitched one in the magazine. I chose a green for the border to edge the pinks, but Rachel...

As you can see from the photo, David and I have had a few days in the snow. Our trip was to north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. A journey on the Arctic Express took us over the border 50 miles further north into Sweden where we had the experience of a husky sledge ride and a long walk in the a beautiful snowy landscape.
On that train we met a couple; she was Norwegian, her husband Swedish, and she was...

This Spanish lady can be found in the latest edition of Gold Cross Stitch magazine, issue 135. Although this design looks intricate, it is fairly simple; it just needs concentration, in particular, when attempting the patterned areas. These patterns are based on blackwork stitches - backstitches that make up the patterns. The beautiful border, butterflies and fan, and the decoration on her dress are all based on this particular style of needlework. I think she looks gorgeous, I hope you will agree.
Have a lovely...

This lovely rose design, edged with a filigree pattern, can be found in the latest February edition of Cross Stitch Collection. Simple to stitch, as there are no backstitches. Shown here on a 28 count evenweave and although it can be stitched on 14 count Aida, perhaps will not have quite this end result.

I finally managed to get all of the cute zodiac charts together. It's taken me rather a long time! They are shown here as one sampler idea with all of the 12 signs, which makes it ideal for you quilters out there and, of course, for individual cards as well. This complete set will be on sale for £12.00 which will be a saving if you are going to stitch quite a few of them, as individual cards are priced at £1.50 each.

I have just added three more designs to my SHOP section; two designs being a Victorian lady and a teddy sampler and this one of a woodland fairy accompanied by a few forest friends.
The Victorian lady is a detailed design so suitable for the more experienced stitchers amongst you, and the teddy sampler is ideal for a new born or young child. There is a separate alphabet and numbers chart included so you can personalise your stitched piece.
The woodland fairy is dressed in beautiful...

Well, here we go again. I do hope you all managed to have a great festive season.
I have recently added a trio of pretty Geishas to my shop. These can be stitched as individual designs, or as the group of three. This design can be found in the Oriental section.
Also, check out my two latest categories that have been added: Motifs and Alphabets. Both groups will have more designs added in the next few months, so, if you have birthdays, wedding, births or any special occasions to stitch a card...

Hello everyone, I hope you are all prepared and looking forward to Christmas Day and you managed to get all of your Christmas cards stitched in time. David and I will be on our own so we will get the chance to relax! The family get together will be later next week so we need to reserve our strength!

There are seven designs in total, each one can be stitched in a night. These are so easy, as the designs use only one skein of colours each from the new gorgeous Coloris colour changing threads by DMC. See the designs come to life as you progress through each design. All of them will make great cards, or why not make them into lovely pincushions as gifts for stitching friends as shown here.
Find them all in the latest CRAZY Cross Stitch magazine, issue 225...

These lovely pictures of four of my designs have been sent to me by Liz. All of them have been made up into cushions for a lovely floral display. She apparently enjoyed stitching them all. Thank you Liz for choosing some of my designs and for sending the pictures through to me.

Although the long shape of this wonderful dragon is perfect to use as a draught excluder when made into a long padded cushion, it would also make a truly lovely design for a framed picture if simply mounted and surrounded with a thin moulded frame.
The pattern is made up of various types of blackwork stitch in both red and black threads, along with cross stitches of golden yellow for the feet and the spiny ridge along its back.

On our recent trip to the Kruger National Park we had a morning on a Safari walk with out two brilliant rangers, Civil - short for civilised which he really was - and Glen, who was the front tracker. Glen was very quiet, except for the moment when he saw a 10 foot python crossing the track in front of us (We were, thankfully, in the vehicle at that moment!)
On part of the walk, Civil picked up some dried elephant poo........absolutely odourless......and proceeded...

Finally, here they are! I had such a great response from you about ideas for this group and I have tried to pick four costumes to represent the First Nations. Again, my interpretation, so please do let me know if I have overstretched the idea. The names for the dolls are based on the Elemental Clans for Fire, Earth, Air and Water which repesent the twelve birth totems.

After much thought and work! I decided to remove one of the previous dolls and add her to the Canadian group. The replacement is a fun - I hope! - Cheer leader doll.
I am hoping to get the sets of costume dolls for both America and Canada on to the SHOP site at the end of this week, so, if you have any comments, I would love to hear from you. I so want to get these right.
