Just in case you don't follow my Face Book page, I am showing this stitched design of my seahorse by Brenda Allan here this week. This chart can be found in World of Cross stitching 259 or it will become available, if you can't get hold of a copy, from my Shop page around February 2018.
What I like is that Brenda has 'done her own thing!' without compromising my design.
She stitched it on 14 count white Aida and to keep...

Embellished with sparkly beads and metallic threads, this shimmery seahorse is a real show - stopper. There is something almost magical about seahorses, and I have tried to capture something of their charm in this design. Find it in the latest edition of World of Cross Stitching, issue 259.

I was sent this picture by Shirley Rigby who stitched this as a present for her friend's Ruby wedding anniversary. It is delightful and what appealed to me as well was that she adapted a rose deign of mine which you can also see here. I love stitchers to do this and create their own special piece. I understand that the stitched sampler actually was delayed in travel, so I do hope by now it has arrived safely. Do let...

The photo is of me, very happy and relaxed on our recent trip to the Dordogne in France. We had an absolutely glorious week there.
I hope your week is going well. We have certainly had some good weather in the UK recently. Just thought I would add a reminder that if you are stitching any of my designs then why don't you come and join us at: ...

Great to receive a picture of one of my designs that I did for DMC a couple of years ago. Beautifully stitched by Sharon Brown and on 18 count hand dyed fabric, although the original kit was for 14 count. It looks lovely, although I did mention to Sharon that her eyesight must be very good, and she had to admit 16 count would have been easier. Absolutely lovely to see. Thank you Sharon.

They have stitched it as a triptych, but here I am also showing it as one complete design. If you wish to work it like this then just remove the blank areas between the charts for that complete look!

Hello everyone, I said June would be a poppy month for my extra free charts. I am starting with a very simple one as I had a query to see if the design could be stitched for VWF - Veterans of Foreign Wars in the US and for the British Legion here. I think it's a great idea. If you require the motif to be smaller, then stitch on 16 count Aida.
Otherwise, this will make a sweet, simple design for...

David and I had a lovely weekend and a great time with our two grandaughters. Although many of you will have seen the pictures on my Face Book pages, here they are again! Not sure the 2 year old quite got the hang of looking for Easter eggs, Leah, the 6 year old, read out the instructions beautifully, but Rosie was rather happier with the outcome, once she realised that the foil wrapper had to come off!
I have been so busy of late,...

I'm sure this would work as a quick design to stitch for an Easter card, but if not, then it's a good one to keep on one side for those times when you need to stich something quickly. Although I have chosen blue shades, you can pick any colours you wish......a good one for using up all those oddments of thread.

I hope you will like my latest design for Gold Cross stitch magazine, issue 137, where I hope to transport you to the shores of the sunny Mediterrean - Italian style!
There are 29 shades of stranded cotton, one shade of metallic thread, plus fractional stitches for detail and both French knots and seed beads, so this design is more suitable for expert stitchers. I hope though, you will enjoy stitching it!

If you are looking for a bright and striking wedding sampler to stitch for newly married friends, then take a look at the latest issue, 228, of Cross stitch Crazy for my latest design. This is a cheerful bouquet of colourful flowers, perfect for a personal touch. The design I am showing here is my original one which is different from the stitched one in the magazine. I chose a green for the border to edge the pinks, but Rachel...
