It has been so exciting to see how many of you are getting on with my new series for a blackwork anemone. If you wish to show pictures of how you are getting along or make any comments, then please join me and this lovely stitching group.

My two other groups are solely for my SALs that I have designed for this year; the pretty floral cushion, and the lovely 12 owls that will be available throughout...

Lovely to see so many of you have taken on the challenge and are joining me in my introduction to blackwork with my own personal touch of some colourful cross stitches. We start this week with our first blackwork pattern on one of the petals. Nice and simple and will not take too much of your time.
I have added the fabric and palette details again for those of you who may just be joining us. Do let me know how...

Cold start to the day, although not too much snow, as yet.
Thank you to all you lovely stitchers that replied to my last week's blog, saying that you were keen to work on this new project. So here we go with the start of my blackwork anemone design that will 'run' over about 12 weeks as a part series.
We start with the centre of the anemone with cross stitches and French knots, or you can change these to petite black...

A change in our weather if you are in the UK; much colder, but where I live in Suffolk, there have been wonderful crisp, white coated grasses and trees to see on my early morning walk. Wrapped up well it has been a pleasure to be out walking Tilly as the pale sun starts to break through.
The first picture is my latest design for GOLD, issue 153, which is out now. I only have the simulation as my copy of...

Latest edition to my SHOP, under 'Decorative,' these bright and cheerful sunny sunflowers will bring a smile on a gloomy day. Easy to stitch on 14 count pale blue Aida or 28 count evenweave for a pretty cushion or colourful picture.

Hello everyone. As I was walking Tilly this morning I saw and heard my first Canada Geese arriving on their migratory Spring trip to the UK. A lovely sight and there will be lots more of them to see in the next few weeks.
Well, we have got our Owls off to a good start and it has been lovely to see more stitchers joining with us in our lovely group. Super to see the start and the completion of the...

Certainly a change in the weather here in Suffolk and a wet and windy start for Tilly and me on our morning walk. I hope you have noticed that I popped a couple of free Christmas designs on my blog last Friday. A couple more will be added this week and are ideal as they are simple to stitch for those last minute cards.
Thank you to Bronwyn Prasad who has sent me her picture of one of my owl designs.

It has been a better week, so far for me, with accesss again to the Internet. Like most of us, I rely on it so much for work let alone keeping in touch with family and friends and posting on FB.
Although I popped this glorious picture on FB yesterday, I know some of you rely on my Wednesday updates to keep in touch. It has been stitched by Saraswati Maria so beautifully and I personally think the framing works brilliantly...

Hi everyone, hope your week has gone well.
I'm showing three lovely pictures of designs of mine that have been sent to me this week. All different and all beautifully stitched; the red poppy landscape by Twiggy in Hong Kong and the 'Home is where the heart is' by Ineke and the fun country sampler by Gail which she has stitched for her grand daughter.
I love seeing the pictures from you so please keep sending them in to me, either by...

This friday, 19th October, will be the day for Lori and me to post the October flower.
Lori will be a little later as her time zone is 5 hours or so behind me, but it seems like only yesterday we started on this pretty project. Although the flower is another pansy, it is quite different and the shape suited this corner spot.
Thank you for all of your lovely comments and I do enjoy seeing the pictures of your stitching. Hope...

Still wonderful weather here, although there may be a change at the weekend.
This week I have just added another Blackwork picture with colourful cross stitches to my SHOP. A pretty little blue tit nestles amongst the colourful cross stitch Spring flowers and striking blackwork anemones. This is the first of what will be a new seasonal group of four designs that will take us through the year with colourful birds and flowers, plus of course, the addition of decorative blackwork...

Do you know these weeks are going far too quickly, and, as we are having in the east of the country such good prolonged weather, it's hard to realise that in a few weeks its Christmas!!!! I have said it! Hope your week has gone well.
I have added two new charts to my SHOP; one is the 'Castle in the sky' which I am now able to add, and a new large floral design of a Passion flower which I...

Gosh, so sorry. It really has been one of those weeks. Anyway, here is a picture that is available from the latest JUST Cross Stitch special collector's issue for Halloween 2018. I did one last year which I so enjoyed working on so here is the follow up called 'Wicked Ride' ...such fun.
Also for Halloween a group of four mini wizards that I have added to my SHOP this week. Hope you enjoy them....and I'm hoping for a quieter week...

I said last wednesday that we had been to a wedding and the picture was taken at the breakfast 'party' the following morning. This shows my two sons and two grandsons with me, one, aged two in the rear of the picture and a 10 year old enjoying his breakfast.
Taken on a retro camera that prints the film out from the camera so really just 'snap' photos. I remember them years ago, but with a piece of leather added to...

David and I had a few days away last weekend as my eldest son was marrying his lovely partner. It all took place in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. Thankfully, although not the sunny weather we have got used to, at least it was dry, so all the children there were able to get outside and play which meant their parents had chance to relax as well.
Two designs shown here, the jolly Santas and the Folk -art Christmas cards are in...

I think with the changing weather here in Britan and yes, officially it is now Autumn, many of us will start to do more stitching. The nights are already closing in and my thoughts are definitely looking to the closing of the curtains as it becomes darker outside.
There are quite a variety of ideas for seasonal designs on my website Shop, with these decorative Father Christmas as just one idea. Find more at this link: www.lesleyteare.com/shop/seasonal

David and I have been very busy in our garden recently, trying to get it sorted before there is a real change in the weather. The photo shows three Granny Smith cooking apples growing on the small tree that is growing against a wall and I think the top one alone will make two apple pies....
Prompted by a request from a stitcher, I have just added a design of a Christmas angel which I hope you will like. It was...
