LJT part series Summer motifs 7

Well, still far too much rain for most of us here in the UK this past week, but at least the temperatures have been warm.

Part 7...how time flies and thank you again for your lovely pictures you are sending in.  I think I will have to call this one a generic yellow flower as I don't think I have a particular species in mind! The shape and colour though do fit the design!

Well the sun has finally shown its face here in the Northern hemisphere in time for this weeks pretty strawberry flower and fruit. I am waiting for my green fruit to start changing colour and hopefully pick them before the birds get there!

Our first flower for our new part series is the pretty carnation with a small butterfly. If you prefer a paler outline then give 3799 a try. It is simple to stitch and all of these motifs will make lovely cards as well as an attractive sampler when stiched together with the border.

It's hard to believe that we are going to start another project. Exciting, but I just wonder where all the other weeks went to!

This time a medley of 8 Summer flowers and a pretty bird house. The flowers are a carnation, strawberry flower and fruit, briar rose, iris, pansy, potentilla  - crept in here as its shape was what I wanted! - blackberry and its flower and then finally a Summer clematis. It is hard to believe that we are on the final design of my Floral sampler part series that has taken us through the past 9 weeks with individual flowers to stitch. Some of you have made them into pretty cards and one stitcher, had the great idea of making them into Kitchen magnets, and of course, the complete sampler which many of you have stitched.

It seems amazing that we only have one more week to go before I add the final design for this part series. It has been really lovely again to see all of your stitched pieces, thank you. A colourful image this week with red hips that brighten our hedgerows here in the Winter.
