Lesley Teare Cross Stitch Design

My first Blog!

5th Aug 2014

Well, here we go again........... welcome to my first update on all that has been happening over the past few weeks in the needlework mags.

This enchanting geisha surrounded by a cloud of fluttering butterflies and softly scented peony blooms will be a lovely picture to stitch, especially if like me you love Oreintal designs. This pretty picture has minimal backstitches to allow the geisha's kimono, fan and delicate facial features really stand out. While the addition of Gold beads and French knots add texture and an extra touch of opulence.

This exclusive design was especially commissioned for the latest edition of Cross Stitch CRAZY, issue 194..................on a small note I have been credited with stitching it, I wish!! but that is something I don't have the time for and certainly wouldn't be able to stitch this with such competence  as Angela Ottewell has............beautifully stitching, thanks Angela.
